He brings a pragmatic, commercially focused approach, working closely with partners in our market leading corporate and commercial division and client executive teams to support informed decision-making on high-stakes issues, providing additional strategic insight where it adds the greatest value to clients.
Geof is widely regarded as one of New Zealand’s leading tax practitioners. He was a tax partner at PwC for 17 years, advising major corporates, investors and public sector organisations on complex tax and governance matters. He also served on the firm’s Executive and Board for 10 years. Since stepping down from PwC in 2023, Geof has focused on a portfolio of advisory, governance and policy roles, maintaining a strong presence across the New Zealand tax and regulatory landscape. He is a regular independent commentator on tax policy and has contributed to several significant government initiatives, including the Tax Working Group established by Sir Michael Cullen.
